3:00 pm Israel In Egypt Handel's Israel in Egypt, composed in 1739, is the story of Passover in song. From the slavery and suffering the piece moves to Moses’ triumph in leading the Israelites out of Egypt. “Moses’ Song” in the second half contains some of the most magnificent choral-orchestral anthems ever composed.
